Geology of the East Bull Lake Layered Complex, District of Algoma, Ontario
The geology of the East Bull Lake layered complex was investigated in order to produce a geological map and to describe the mineralogy, textured characteristics and geochemistry of the rock types. This allowed the identification of the intrusion"s mode of emplacement, crystallization history and origin. Goode"s bottom crystallization layering model was successful in explaining the intrusion with thte exception of the isomodal layers. A speculative model was proposed to account for emplacement.

Felsic volcanic rocks (dominantly rhyolites) comprise most of the volcanic stratigraphy, and the ore is hosted by volcaniclastic rocks.

Archean terrains are some of the most richly mineralized terrains on Earth, both in terms of the mineral deposits which formed during the Archean and the deposit styles which developed on or adjacent to stable Archean cratons following their stabilization (for example, diamonds in kimberlites, copper and REE in carbonatites and other alkaline rocks, bauxites, and beach sands).Cited by: 2.
Archaean granite-greenstone terranes, particularly those of Western Australia and Zimbabwe have a distinctive geotectonic style that led Macgregor () to introduce the idea of “gregarious batholiths” to explain the structure of the Zimbabwe Craton. Later Anhaeusser et al. () noted that this pattern of Archaean granite-greenstone development was prevalent on most cratons where Cited by: Research areas in Nigeria Stable sulphur isotopes in basic geochemical research Basement complex rocks Lead-zinc mineralization and salt deposits Agulu-Nanka gully complex sulphur deposits Fossil fuel deposits Coal and mine drainage Petroleum and natural gas Oil shales.
